To prove how they value their staff as highly as their technology, they approached THEMPC to create a welcome pack for new employees. Agilisys wanted a new employee welcome kit that would supply their new starters with a laptop and everything they would need for their role, whilst also making them feel engaged and welcome.

Making a positive first impression on new recruits

Like many companies these days, Agilisys supports flexible and remote working. Their #Agilelife approach allows staff to work hours amenable to their lifestyle. Onboarding packs are a brilliant way to achieve a tangible connection with new recruits, which is especially important in a virtual world. Their vision was for THEMPC to create an Agilisys-branded welcome box that would encourage a positive employee onboarding experience, containing:

• Stylish black ‘Jagger’ ball pen with a luxury tactile feel
• Black 20mm dye sub lanyards featuring a safety break and metal hook attachment, with a lanyard card holder
• Smart tide bottle – a double-walled, thermal-insulated, vacuum travel bottle suitable for any time or place
• Jelly Tots sweets

A bespoke staff welcome pack – designed, sourced, printed, produced and delivered

Using our combined expertise in design, print and packaging, we got to work tailoring a welcome pack for new employees joining Agilisys. Keen to meet their unique brand specifications and company messaging, we collaborated HR specialists at Agilisys, as follows:

• Mocked-up a shortlist of preliminary designs in 2D format, for initial consideration
• Sourced a range of high quality yet cost-effective contents from our supplier network
• Created a prototype of the frontrunning box for approval, giving the client peace of mind around what the final result would look – and feel – like, with all the items inside
• Facilitated a free, flexible and open culture of feedback, suggesting alternatives until we arrived at the ideal solution
• Made the necessary changes to layout and content until the box passed development stages

The lasting impact of a warm welcome

THEMPC’s extensive suite of in-house production capabilities allowed us to work flexibly with  Agilisys, taking their new employee welcome kits from concept through to delivery.

• 100 bespoke welcome packs for new employees were produced within 3 weeks, a highly efficient turnaround time for a project of this complexity
• Bespoke welcome box specifications: lid with corrugated shipper, paper wrapped over 2,000-micron greyboard white, 500 mic FBB, B flute corrugated. Internal dimensions: 495 x 340 x 120mm, lid depth 60mm to hold supplied laptop
• We created the kits with an innovative internal flap, allowing us to add in a personalised welcome letter
• The foam inside the boxes was designed specifically for Agilisys, to fit around the products they wanted to include, as well as keep everything securely in place
• Printed full colour to the outside and internal flap, matt lamination to boxes
• Shipped cost-effectively in bulk to meet Agilisys’ deadline, supporting a welcoming onboarding experience for all their new team members
