The FA – Winning packaging for our Women’s World Cup team!

Plant a seed and watch it grow!

We have been behind the scenes working on a very exciting project in advance of the Women’s cup and The FA really put us through our paces in the lead up to the first whistle. The FA approached us approximately 4 weeks before the big day, asking us to help them with a little project to build some excitement for some influencers & VIP’s.

Influencer seeding can be a very effecting marketing tactic, getting content into the hands of big influencers can ensure it is seen by many. This allows brands to get their content in front of their target audiences who will not only see it but may also then engage with it.

Our brief from The Football Association was to create some promotional influencer packaging to hold specific items they wanted to send these influencers to promote the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 and build the excitement to get behind the our Lionesses and the Women’s game.

Packaging goals!

We feel our team are experts when it comes to packaging, we provide packaging and printing services for a wide variety of products across a diverse range of industries.

This brief came with a very tight deadline but we were happy to take on the challenge of making it happen and here is what we did:

• Provided a luxury packaging proposal, a paper over board magnetic closure box.
• We designed a paper overboard for board case and tray with concealed magnetic enclosures. Bespoke print then covered and lined the box – Inside the base of the tray we also included an astroturfed layer on which the football shirt would sit along with the postcard which we printed for them.
• This style of box is very popular as the inclusion of concealed magnets adds to the feel of luxury and quality. The inclusion of the astroturf is a nice fun and relevant addition adding a fun element to this box.
• Being a UK based manufacturer of packaging, we moved the production schedule around to be able to manufacturer within 5 days of final sign off.

Packaging that wins the show – But will the team bring home the Trophy?

As the team now prepare for the Women’s World Cup final we felt it was the perfect time to share this project. Englands lionesses have raised the profile of Women’s football once again and with this project our team have raised the profile of THEMPC once again displaying our ability to deliver!

When we delivered the boxes the client had already left for Australia but we sent photography and they were very happy with the finish I’m sure we will see further feedback when they return to the UK after the tournament.
