Each year, BCLP hosts a Global Partner Conference, bringing together partners from across the organisation for collaboration, strategic discussion and networking. As part of the event experience, the firm provides carefully selected gifts for attendees that reflect the professionalism and quality of the BCLP brand.

As an existing client, BCLP approached THEMPC to develop a premium gift for their partners – something that would leave a lasting impression beyond the event itself. The objective was to create a product that was both stylish and practical, ensuring partners would continue to use it long after the conference had finished.

The Challenge

The brief was to create 220 premium backpacks that elevated the look and feel of a traditional branded product. The bag needed to feel subtle, stylish and considered, rather than overtly promotional, ensuring it would appeal to a professional audience and become a product partners would genuinely want to use.

BCLP had a very specific aesthetic in mind, with clear expectations around quality, durability and overall finish. The final product needed to balance practicality with a refined design that aligned with the firm’s professional identity.

Key project requirements included:

  • Sourcing a high-quality, durable backpack suitable for everyday professional use
  • Creating a design that felt premium and understated
  • Ensuring all branding matched strict brand guidelines, particularly colour accuracy and logo application
  • Delivering a product that partners would value and continue to use beyond the event

Working closely with the client, our team sampled and sourced several backpack options, ultimately identifying a style that matched the brief and provided the ideal foundation for further customisation.

Branding & Customisation

During the development stage, it became clear that the standard branding options offered by the bag manufacturer did not meet BCLP’s expectations or align with the quality required for the project.

To achieve the desired result, THEMPC developed a bespoke customisation solution that allowed the backpacks to reflect the firm’s brand with greater precision and impact.

We produced bespoke 3D silicone badges in BCLP’s signature orange, featuring a raised logo that created a distinctive and tactile finish. These badges were then professionally embroidered onto the backpacks in two strategic positions, providing a durable and visually striking brand presence while maintaining a clean, professional aesthetic.

This approach enabled us to achieve the level of detail, colour accuracy and consistency required by the client – something that could not be achieved through the supplier’s original branding methods.

To further elevate the design, each backpack also featured a blind debossed logo on the front panel. This subtle, minimalist branding technique created a refined and timeless finish while adding a tactile element that enhanced the overall quality of the product.

For presentation, each backpack was supplied in a high-quality drawstring carrier, adding an extra layer of protection while enhancing the overall gifting experience for conference attendees.

Logistics

In total, 220 customised backpacks were produced for the project.

THEMPC managed the entire production and logistics process, including sourcing, product development, customisation, quality control and international delivery.

All backpacks were successfully delivered to the United States ahead of BCLP’s Global Partner Conference. Through careful planning and coordination, we ensured that every item arrived on time, on brand and ready for distribution at the event.

Results

The finished backpacks successfully delivered on the original brief – combining premium quality, practical functionality and refined branding.

The bespoke branding approach ensured the product maintained a clean and sophisticated aesthetic, while the combination of the 3D silicone badge and blind debossed logo created a distinctive yet understated brand presence.

Partners received a product that was both practical and stylish, designed for everyday use while subtly reinforcing the BCLP brand.
