Seasonal merchandise that rises to the occasion

WorldFirst contacted us after seeing our information about pancake day kits on LinkedIn. It was an idea they liked and enquired to see if they could get budget sign off for an employee engagement project. WorldFirst is a UK-based foreign exchange company who offer currency exchange and international payments to private clients and corporate clients in the UK and a number of other countries. Like many other companies they had employees still working from home and they felt it would be a great way to engage with them and have some fun in a creative way.

Pancakes get employees competitive

We shared with them the possibilities around the seasonal merchandise such as branded aprons, frying pans and utensils with everything they also needed in the box to make the perfect pancakes on Shrove Tuesday. From initial contact to delivery to 110 employee home addresses we had 4 weeks to bring this idea to life! The customer wanted to tie the delivery of the kits into a little competition, the world first virtual flip off!

We provided a proposal to include a whole range of items and suggested the best ways to brand them so they worked with the clients branding. The proposal also included a branded box with branding to the outside as well as the option to brand the inside too. The client liked the inside option as they wanted to add a personalised message to the lid inside. When it came to shipping we recommended doing this via tracked courier service so we could ensure each parcel was received successfully by the intended recipient.

Following the quotation, the customer realised they needed a gluten free pack but we already had this covered as the ingredients included already met this brief – it was like we knew!

The client proceeded with the proposal and their packs included a range of goodies, frying pan, spatula and apron which were all branded with the WorldFirst logo. We picked items which were white and red which contrasted each other perfectly and most importantly were on brand! All seasonal merchandise in this pack would most certainly be used time and time again long after the occasion had passed. 

What better way to celebrate pancake day with all your employees

This employee engagement project was completed in-house, we created an 0427 style box (also known as a pizza box) with branding inside and out finished in a gloss lamination. When all the content arrived, we created a bespoke fitment to hold all items in place, our team are not called The Packaging Experts for no reason! Couriers have a habit of damaging goods in transit so we make sure that every care package, event kit or onboarding box which leaves us will protect its content perfectly! Our team of cardboard engineers worked on a few revisions of the box before we were happy we had this one right, we wanted to ensure the content was perfectly displayed whilst also being perfectly protected!

The campaign feedback was fabulous, the client received comments from her team about how they were ‘cool, ‘fun’ and even ‘oh that branded frying pan is great!’
