Research has found that if a promotional item is useful, 89% of people will keep it. The long-term benefits of quality promotional merchandise is clear and brands should look to take advantage of branded items for their events, customer rewards, direct mail campaigns and brand awareness giveaways alongside other strategies.
So what promotional products are most popular for UK consumers?
It seems that you can’t go wrong with the promotional pen, which is what UK customers favour most. Branded bags, electronic items, personalised mugs and edible items are also highly popular, however marketers are introducing the more unusual products into the promotional mix, including ice cream and plants.

- Long desk life – 31%
